I have a profound interest in trees and their natural beauty. I grew up on a hobby farm ten minutes north of Waterloo and spent many winters in the bush collecting firewood to heat our family home. It was definitely work, so I wasn’t always eager as a young boy to help my father and big brother, but I learned to love the process. Without knowing it, it had started my path towards becoming an Arborist and seeing trees in a new light. I’ve come a long way since those days in the bush, but am always learning more through books, conferences and being in the field learning from the trees themselves. Follow along as I periodically blog about insights into our world and simple tips to keep your trees in tip top shape for generations to enjoy!
